As the CEO of Softvision, Andres is responsible for both the day-to-day operations and the strategic vision of the firm. He most recently served as the Chief Solutions Officer at Globant, responsible for the design and build of digital solutions and leading strategic customer engagements globally. His areas of expertise include enterprise software architecture, agile transformation, and game development. Before becoming Chief Solutions Officer, Andres served as the EVP and GM of Globant’s gaming studio, leading business on the West Coast, as well as VP of Engineering and Director of Global Presales Consulting from the U.K. Andres has spoken at many leadership, strategy, and tech conferences and co-authored the book The Never-Ending Digital Journey: Creating New Consumer Experiences Through Technology. Originally from Argentina, he speaks English, Spanish and Italian.
As Softvision’s CTO and Founder, Laurentiu manages the company’s overall corporate business development, strategic initiatives and delivery centers in Europe and is a highly focused and passionate leader in the outsourced software development. He has been leading world-class highly-skilled Romanian tech talent for the last 19 years to develop beautiful, smart and cutting edge digital solutions for global companies but also visionary startups across Silicon Valley. Prior to founding Softvision, Laurentiu worked in the outsourcing division of HP and leading software development for AMD and several high tech startups in San Francisco. Laurentiu holds BS degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in Engineering and Finance and a Masters in Computer Science from Stanford University.
As CFO Tom leads all the finance, legal and corporate development activities and functions of Softvision. He is also a Visiting Professor and Executive in Residence at Kennesaw State University. Most recently, Tom was the Co-Head and Managing Director of the Transportation, Logistics and Shipping practice for Credit Suisse Securities LLC based in New York. Prior to Credit Suisse, he spent over 20 years at the United Parcel Service the last 7 as the Vice President of Corporate Finance which included leading all global Merger and Acquisition activities. He also served as corporate and securities counsel for UPS. Tom received his Bachelors of Science in finance from Northern Illinois University and his Juris Doctorate from Illinois Institute of Technology – Chicago Kent College of Law and is admitted to both the Illinois Bar and the Georgia Bar.
As VP of Innovation Labs, Almaz drives the ideation and creation of our most cutting edge products and solutions. He joined Softvision through the acquisition of the company he founded, Momentus Software. Almaz previously led Barnes and Noble’s NOOK EINK platform team. While at Adobe, he was the Lead Architect on the Adobe Mobile Client engineering team where he achieved technical breakthroughs, pioneered advanced mobile research and jump-started strategic relationships. With over a decade of R&D experience, he has a proven track record of shipping successful products and building world class consumer electronic devices. He holds a Computer Science and Mathematics degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison College. He is a true Badgers fan and loves football, hiking, and biking in the Pacific Northwest.
Darryl is responsible for solutions and service delivery for Softvision’s core retail client base which includes Estée Lauder, Macy’s, Hudson’s Bay Company, Kohl’s, Belk Department Stores, Bealls, General Parts Corporation and others. Previous to Softvision, during his more than twenty-five year tenure at Macy’s, he carried business and IT leadership roles, drove major initiatives focused on omnichannel integration, legacy systems modernization, mergers, system consolidations and compliance.
As VP of Operations, Ale oversees delivery and ensures that our pods are operating with maximum efficiency. She comes to Softvision with more than 15 years of experience of leading teams, project management and operations in the IT and software industry. She has extensive experience in software development working with industry leading developers such as Electronic Arts, Disney and Warner Brothers, delivering software and apps for console, mobile and web. She has lead teams of 150+ with multi-million dollar budgets with a focus on delivery, growing managers, improving processes and best practices and is highly experienced in offshore distributed development. Her responsibilities include strategic planning and goal-setting for Softvision’s delivery organization. Originally from Argentina, Ale holds an MBA degree from Universidad de Deusto. In her free time, she enjoys skiing and spending time with her family and dog Uayra.
As VP of Solutions, John unites Softvision’s best creative, industry and technical leaders to produce and deliver solutions for our partners’ toughest challenges, while setting them on a path of continued future success. Prior to Softvision, John was CTO/VP Engineering at many public companies and VC-financed start-ups including Intellisync (acquired by Nokia), Core Mobility (acquired by Smith Micro), Servo Software (acquired by Kii) and CrowdFlower. He started and sold two mobile software companies after starting his career at Charles Schwab and Apple. John received B.S. degrees in Finance and Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
Amy heads up Global Marketing for Softvision. She was drawn to Marketing by her love of story telling and comes to Softvision with over two decades of Silicon Valley digital marketing experience. Before joining Softvision, she has held Marketing leadership roles at companies like FollowAnalytics, Demandbase and Jaspersoft/Tibco. Often described as a one-woman army, she boasts mastery in nearly every aspect of the marketing stack. When she’s not creating content and obsessing about funnel optimization, you can find her tending her garden in San Francisco’s Mission District or busy in her kitchen creating delicious food for her family and friends.
Jason is a talent acquisition thought leader that has worked with some of the most well known online and media brands in the world to help them acquire the essential human capital they need to achieve mission critical goals. He has developed talent solutions for many well known companies such as Technicolor, Globant, IAC, FreedomPop, Yahoo, Experian, Virgin Mobile, Bravo Online, Shopzilla, and others. In addition to his upcoming book “The 7 Deadly Sins of The Job Hunt”, he is also working on his second book about start-up company cultures and is a regular panelist at industry events like Digital LA. Jason has a Bachelors Degree from Tel-Aviv University and is also a veteran of the IDF.
