As the CEO of Softvision, Andres is responsible for both the day-to-day operations and the strategic vision of the firm. He most recently served as the Chief Solutions Officer at Globant, responsible for the design and development of digital solutions while leading strategic customer engagements globally. His areas of expertise include product development, agile transformation, and gaming. Before becoming Chief Solutions Officer, Andres founded and served as the EVP and GM of Globant’s gaming studio, leading business on the West Coast, as well as VP of Engineering and Director of Global Presales Consulting from the U.K. Andres has spoken at many leadership, strategy, and tech conferences and co-authored the book The Never-Ending Digital Journey: Creating New Consumer Experiences Through Technology. Originally from Argentina, he speaks English, Spanish and Italian. Andres holds a Bachelors of Science in Business from the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires, and enjoys cross-fit training, skiing with his wife, Laura, and their four kids, running and playing classical piano.
As Softvision’s CTO and Founder, Laurentiu manages the company’s overall corporate business development, strategic initiatives and delivery centers in Europe and is a highly focused and passionate leader in the outsourced software development. He has been leading world-class highly-skilled Romanian tech talent for the last 19 years to develop beautiful, smart and cutting-edge digital solutions for global companies but also visionary startups across Silicon Valley. Prior to founding Softvision, Laurentiu worked in the outsourcing division of HP and leading software development for AMD and several high tech startups in San Francisco. Laurentiu holds BS degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in Engineering and Finance and a Masters in Computer Science from Stanford University.
As CFO Tom leads all the finance, legal and corporate development activities and functions of Softvision. He is also a Visiting Professor and Executive in Residence at Kennesaw State University. Most recently, Tom was the Co-Head and Managing Director of the Transportation, Logistics and Shipping practice for Credit Suisse Securities LLC based in New York. Prior to Credit Suisse, he spent over 20 years at the United Parcel Service the last 7 as the Vice President of Corporate Finance which included leading all global Merger and Acquisition activities. He also served as corporate and securities counsel for UPS. Tom received his Bachelors of Science in finance from Northern Illinois University and his Juris Doctorate from Illinois Institute of Technology – Chicago Kent College of Law and is admitted to both the Illinois Bar and the Georgia Bar.
As SVP of Digital Consulting, Bret works with Retailers, Brands, and Enterprises to define and deliver eCommerce and digital products that deliver results. Bret comes to Softvision through the acquisition of a company in Austin, BestFit Mobile, where he was Founder and President. Since inception, BestFit has worked with top retailers to shift their marketing strategy to digital solutions that enable personal one-to-one engagement with their customers and deliver Enterprise tools to drive their business forward. Bret has an Economics degree from Wake Forest University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, and enjoys outdoor activities like Snowboarding, Water Sports, and Triathlon.
James is responsible for Client Technical Architecture, joining Softvision through the acquisition of his company Double Prime in 2015. His primary responsibility is working with our customers at the Estée Lauder Companies on their global commerce platform. James has extensive backgrounds in various fields of science and engineering, holding a B.S. in Physics from SUNY Stony Brook and a Masters in Physical Chemistry from Yale. James lives just outside Philadelphia with his wife and two children, works most of the week in NYC, and in his spare time enjoys reading, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and spending time with friends.
As VP of Operations, Ale oversees delivery and ensures that our pods are operating with maximum efficiency. She comes to Softvision with more than 15 years of experience of leading teams, project management and operations in the IT and software industry. She has extensive experience in software development working with industry-leading developers such as Electronic Arts, Disney and Warner Brothers, delivering software and apps for the console, mobile and web. She has lead teams of 150+ with multi-million dollar budgets with a focus on delivery, growing managers, improving processes and best practices and is highly experienced in offshore distributed development. Her responsibilities include strategic planning and goal-setting for Softvision’s delivery organization. Originally from Argentina, Ale holds an MBA degree from Universidad de Deusto. In her free time, she enjoys skiing and spending time with her family and dog Uayra.
As VP of Solutions, John unites Softvision’s best creative, industry and technical leaders to produce and deliver solutions for our partners’ toughest challenges, while setting them on a path of continued future success. Prior to Softvision, John was CTO/VP Engineering at many public companies and VC-financed start-ups including Intellisync (acquired by Nokia), Core Mobility (acquired by Smith Micro), Servo Software (acquired by Kii) and CrowdFlower. He started and sold two mobile software companies after starting his career at Charles Schwab and Apple. John received B.S. degrees in Finance and Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
Responsible for managing Softvision APAC, Girish is an integral part of the Softvision’s success story. In his 16+ year career with the company, he has held senior leadership positions across the business and in all major markets. He has played a key role in driving strong and sustainable growth by leveraging Softvision’s deep relationship with the customers combined with sound business practices. Prior to this Girish was Delivery Head for Softvision and also managed India and Nepal Operations. He is a global citizen who has lived in multiple countries and traveled extensively to many more. He holds a Bachelor’s in Chemistry from Mahatma Gandhi University.
As VP of Global Delivery, Ines is in charge of Softvision’s global delivery strategy and also serves as Head of the Buenos Aires Studio. She is responsible for bringing our worldwide studios together through global, scalable processes to create a positive impact for our clients and our people. She has nearly 20 years of experience in professional services, building account portfolios and global leadership teams. What she loves most about her job is creating human connections across cultures, countries, and languages. She holds an MA in Management Studies from the University of Westminster, London, and a BA in Communications from Universidad Austral, Buenos Aires. She lives in Buenos Aires with her husband and three sons.
As VP of Design and Innovation, James leads Design and Innovation teams at Softvision. Passionate about new and emerging businesses and technologies that disrupt, challenge and create new opportunities. A champion of the user, James loves those moments when strategy aligns with creating useful and beautiful products to create value for a business.
As Director of Marketing and Communication, Fausta supervises all global corporate communications and marketing programs, including Softvision’s relationships with the press and analyst, internal and external communications and content strategy. She also is in charge of Marketing and enhancing the company’s relations with its customers. With a passion for finding and telling good stories, she believes that is the people that make the difference. She has more than 20 years of experience working for and with both multinational companies and tech/IPO startups such as Shell, Globant, Unilever, American Express and Urban PR. She holds an MA in Marketing from San Andres University, Buenos Aires and a BA in Communications from Universidad Austral, Buenos Aires. She is involved in education and entrepreneurship initiatives. She lives in New York with her husband and four sons.
As Director of Romania Delivery, Sorin is in charge of overseeing the delivery strategy in Romania. Starting off in management as a Line Manager he was in charge of his department’s Java projects and customers, favoring both technical and managerial skills. Sorin then moved to an operational department management position running his first big enterprise project with Nokia in which he admits to having discovered one of his greatest assets: building teams and organizations. Fast-evolving technology forced him to quickly expand his engineering group to the point where he was managing more than 700 people across 30 customers, ranging from small start-ups to Fortune 500 companies and spanned the entire range of software development: server side, web side, and mobile world. Along the way, he has helped customers achieve great products through the work of his teams and was instrumental in expanding and creating adjacent services to Softvision’s business such as 24/7 support, development operations and infrastructure. Sorin graduated the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in 2006, with a degree in Computer Science.
As Director of India and Nepal Studios, Yaju is in responsible for overseeing delivery from India and Nepal studios. Prior to this, he headed Nepal Delivery center and Products Engineering. With over 18 years of experience in managing delivery and operations, he is very passionate about product development and engineering. Yaju enjoys playing golf and is an avid mountain biker. He currently shuttles between India and Nepal.
