Our Leadership Team


Andres Angelani

As the CEO of Softvision, Andres is responsible for both the day-to-day operations and the strategic vision of the firm. He most recently served as the Chief Solutions Officer at Globant, responsible for the design and development of digital solutions while leading strategic customer engagements globally. His areas of expertise include product development, agile transformation and gaming. Before becoming Chief Solutions Officer, Andres founded and served as the EVP and GM of Globant’s gaming studio, leading business on the West Coast, as well as VP of Engineering and Director of Global Presales Consulting from the U.K.

Andres has spoken at many leadership, strategy and tech conferences and co-authored the book The Never-Ending Digital Journey: Creating New Consumer Experiences Through Technology. Originally from Argentina, he speaks English, Spanish and Italian. Andres holds a Bachelors of Science in Business from the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires, and enjoys cross-fit training, skiing with his wife, Laura, and their four kids, running and playing classical piano.

CTO and Founder

Laurentiu Russo

As Softvision’s CTO and Founder, Laurentiu manages the company’s overall corporate business development, strategic initiatives and delivery centers in Europe and is a highly focused and passionate leader in outsourced software development. He has been leading world-class, highly-skilled Romanian tech talent for the last 19 years to develop beautiful, smart and cutting-edge digital solutions for global companies as well as visionary startups across Silicon Valley.

Prior to founding Softvision, Laurentiu worked in the outsourcing division of HP and led software development for AMD and several high tech startups in San Francisco. Laurentiu holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in Engineering and Finance, and a Masters in Computer Science from Stanford University.

Tom Delbrook

Tom Delbrook

As CFO, Tom leads all the finance, legal and corporate development activities and functions of Softvision. He is also a Visiting Professor and Executive in Residence at Kennesaw State University. Most recently, Tom was the Co-Head and Managing Director of the Transportation, Logistics and Shipping practice for Credit Suisse Securities LLC based in New York. Prior to Credit Suisse, he spent over 20 years at the United Parcel Service. His last seven years at UPS, Tom served as the Vice President of Corporate Finance, which included leading all global Merger and Acquisition activities. He also served as corporate and securities counsel for UPS.

Tom received his Bachelors of Science in Finance from Northern Illinois University and his Juris Doctorate from Illinois Institute of Technology – Chicago Kent College of Law and is admitted to both the Illinois Bar and the Georgia Bar.

EVP of Partnership Strategy

Snjezana Cvoro-Begovic

As EVP of Partnership Strategy, Snjezana is responsible for building delightful partnership-focused experiences, and promoting a culture wherein Softvision’s success is directly linked to the success of our client partners. She comes to Softvision with over 25 years of experience in the high-tech and entertainment industries with a passion for delivering technology-enabled products and services.
Prior to joining Softvision, Snjezana was the COO at a technology start-up in Vancouver, and held leadership positions at Globant, EA, IBM, and PWC. She is a member of The Center for Digital Media Faculty and is passionate about contributing her industry knowledge to the digital community. When she’s not working around the world, she loves running, hot yoga, and strong black coffee.
Chief Architect

James  Hartling

James is responsible for Client Technical Architecture, joining Softvision through the acquisition of his company Double Prime in 2015. His primary responsibility is working with our customers at the Estée Lauder Companies on their global commerce platform. James has extensive backgrounds in various fields of science and engineering, holding a B.S. in Physics from SUNY Stony Brook and a Masters in Physical Chemistry from Yale.

James lives just outside Philadelphia with his wife and two children, works most of the week in NYC, and in his spare time enjoys reading, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and spending time with friends.

EVP of Client Delivery

Marisa Chimeno

As EVP of Client Delivery leading portfolios worldwide, Marisa’s mission is to boost portfolio growth, interact with clients and help portfolio teams evolve into full P&L business units. Marisa is a senior executive with over 20 years successfully operating and growing Fortune 500 companies. She’s a self-directed leader with exceptional interpersonal skills and a strategic vision with awesome clarity in tactical implementation. She has an incredible track record of growing relationships with companies such as Disney, Royal Caribbean, Google, Sears, Gilbarco Veeder Root, and more. With a background in engineering, Marisa is a hands-on leader and team player who helps us scale and grow faster. When she is not traveling all around the world she enjoys playing tennis in Miami where she lives.

EVP of East Coast & Financial Services Head

Matthew Lee

As EVP for the East Coast & Financial Services Head, Matthew is focused on key east coast and financial services clients. He works closely with the sales, Guilds and delivery teams to help financial services and other clients develop digital solutions that create revenue generating differentiation in the marketplace.

Matthew is a senior executive with 20 years of proven leadership. He has achieved remarkable success in revenue growth, leading teams with a focus on the financial services industry and with high quality consulting and leadership experience. Matthew brings his experience working with companies ranging from venture-backed startups to global software and consulting firms, such as Ness Engineering, Sapient, Sybase, and HP.

Μatthew is an alumnus of INSEAD business school. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and keeps busy by being a baseball coach to a league in downtown Manhattan.

SVP of Digital Strategy & Solutions

Bret Cunningham

Bret is responsible for our Global Strategy and Solutions team, runs Marketing and Communications, and leads Softvision’s Innovations and Labs program. As head of Strategy & Solutions, Bret runs our global digital product teams and brings Softvision’s best creative, industry and technical domain leaders together to define and implement solutions for our clients.  As Brand Ambassador and head of Marketing and Communications, Bret oversees go-to-market strategy, demand generation and the Softvision Brand.  He leads our Labs team where we partner with clients to infuse innovation into their business, and implement rapid prototype programs that deliver and test ideas with velocity.

Bret has an Economics degree from Wake Forest University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He enjoys outdoor activities like snowboarding, water sports and triathlons.

Alejandra Sosa
VP of Operations

Alejandra Sosa

As VP of Operations, Ale oversees delivery and ensures that our Pods are operating with maximum efficiency. She comes to Softvision with more than 15 years of experience with leading teams, project management and operations in the IT and software industry. She has extensive experience in software development working with industry-leading developers such as Electronic Arts, Disney and Warner Brothers, delivering software and apps for the console, mobile and web. Ale has lead teams of 150+ with multi-million dollar budgets with a focus on delivery, growing managers, improving processes and best practices and is highly experienced in offshore distributed development. Ale’s responsibilities include strategic planning and goal-setting for Softvision’s delivery organization.

Originally from Argentina, Ale holds an MBA degree from Universidad de Deusto. In her free time, she enjoys skiing and spending time with her family and dog, Uayra.

John Stossel
VP of Solutions

John Stossel

As VP of Solutions, John unites Softvision’s best creative, industry and technical leaders to produce and deliver solutions for our partners’ toughest challenges, while setting them on a path of continued future success. Prior to Softvision, John was CTO/VP Engineering at many public companies and VC-financed start-ups, including Intellisync (acquired by Nokia), Core Mobility (acquired by Smith Micro), Servo Software (acquired by Kii) and CrowdFlower.

John started and sold two mobile software companies after beginning his career at Charles Schwab and Apple. He holds B.S. degrees in Finance and Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

VP of APAC Business Development

Girish Karunakaran

Responsible for managing Softvision APAC, Girish is an integral part of Softvision’s success story. In his 16+ year career with the company, he has held senior leadership positions across the business and in all major markets. Girish has played a key role in driving strong and sustainable growth by leveraging Softvision’s deep relationship with the customers combined with sound business practices. Prior to this Girish was Delivery Head for Softvision and also managed India and Nepal Operations.

Girish is a global citizen who has lived in multiple countries and traveled extensively to many more. He holds a Bachelor’s in Chemistry from Mahatma Gandhi University.

VP of Global Delivery Strategy

Ines Casares

As VP of Global Delivery Strategy, Ines is in charge of Softvision’s global delivery strategy and also serves as Head of the Buenos Aires Studio. She is responsible for bringing our worldwide Studios together through global, scalable processes to create a positive impact for our clients and our people.

Ines has nearly 20 years of experience in professional services, building account portfolios and global leadership teams. What she loves most about her job is creating human connections across cultures, countries, and languages. She holds an MA in Management Studies from the University of Westminster, London, and a BA in Communications from Universidad Austral, Buenos Aires. Ines lives in Buenos Aires with her husband and three sons.

Director of Romania HR & Talent Acquisition

Vasilica Zuld

As the HR Director of Softvision Romania, Vasilica is in charge of building and leading the Talent Management and Talent Acquisition Strategies to support the functional business strategy, as well as providing consulting and advisory support and leading the entire HR Department. She is also in charge of employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee learning and organizational development of Softvision.

Vasilica started her management career 12 years ago and, prior to Softvision she was in charge of the Talent Acquisition Department at NTT and the HR Department at Cybercom. Vasilica graduated from the Faculty of European Studies at Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. She also completed a Master’s Program in Communication Psychology with a Management Degree from Brescia University and Babes-Bolyai University. Vasilica believes in giving back to the community and non-profit organizations hold a special place in her heart.

Director of Marketing and Communications

Fausta Ballesteros

As Director of Marketing and Communication, Fausta supervises all global corporate communications and marketing programs, including Softvision’s relationships with the press and analysts, internal and external communications and content strategy. Fausta is also is in charge of marketing and enhancing the company’s relations with its customers.

With a passion for finding and telling good stories, she believes that it’s people who make the difference. Fausta has more than 20 years of experience working for and with both multinational companies and tech/IPO startups such as Shell, Globant, Unilever, American Express and Urban PR. She holds an MA in Marketing from San Andres University, Buenos Aires and a BA in Communications from Universidad Austral, Buenos Aires. Fausta is involved in education and entrepreneurship initiatives, and lives in Connecticut with her husband and four sons.

Director of Romania Guilds

Mihai Constandis

As Head of Romanian Communities, Mihai is in charge of overseeing technology and people development in Romania with a clear mission to keep engineering teams challenged while ensuring consultancy abilities and capacity in Romania for our partners.

Starting off his software management career in Nokia, Mihai had the chance to work with the Softvision team in building a highly scalable Messaging solution and discovered his passion: connecting the dots between people business needs, technology, and process. After joining Softvision, Mihai had the chance to practice many of these dimensions in high potential accounts as an operational Line Manager. He ensured constant quality delivery and people motivation and recognized that the software consultancy business can be an extremely rewarding environment for both people and partners, fuelled by mutual success and true partnership.

With a true sense of ambition and consistency, Mihai managed to triple the size of the accounts he was overseeing and ultimately built his own operational department. His clear focus on people, solutions, and process optimization made Mihai gradually move to a Community Management position with a global role of running the Quality Engineering Guild, an organization of more than 600 people and 80+ partners.

Mihai graduated from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in 2005 and holds a Project Management Professional and a CSM certification. He enjoys skiing, mountain biking, running, electronic music and technology in general.

Director of India & Nepal Studios

Yaju Shrestha

As Director of India and Nepal Studios, Yaju is responsible for overseeing delivery from India and Nepal Studios. Prior to this, he headed Nepal Delivery center and Products Engineering. With over 18 years of experience in managing delivery and operations, he is very passionate about product development and engineering. Yaju enjoys playing golf and is an avid mountain biker. He currently travels between India and Nepal.
